Guide for Shooters

Whether you’re a professional casting director who needs a specific nude body type for a movie or a photo enthusiast who shoots nudes as a hobby -  I suggest you read the “Guide for Models“  to understand what nude models expect from you.

If you need a nude model for a project or shoot I suggest following these guidelines:

1) Use the MMN messaging to introduce yourself. Go to the models profile and Click “SEND PRIVATE MESSAGE” Include information about you and/or your company and how long you’ve been in business. If you are a hobbyist or inexperienced I recommend being honest and letting the model know. Do not try to portray yourself as something you’re not. Honesty is the best policy and if you start off lying, you may lose the opportunity to shoot altogether.

2) Propose Job Offer. Be very specific about exactly what it is you require from the model and what will be the usage of the content.

* DEFINE THE JOB IN WRITING VIA EMAIL OR MESSAGING, PRINT IT OUT AND TAKE TO THE SHOOT in case there are any “misunderstandings”.

-  What? What exactly will the model be doing? Photos? How many sets? Video? How long? Does model need to do her own makeup or bring her own wardrobe?

– When? The date, time and how many hours (approximately) of the shoot.

– How Much? I recommend setting a rate for the entire shoot and not paying by the hour.

– Form of Payment? Are you paying  by a check or cash? Is it same day pay or payroll 2 weeks later?

- Confirm by phone. After you have solidified the shoot by the written word, either of you  may want to call and confirm  that you are both  living, breathing, easy to work with people.

3) Respect Models Limits. Find out the models level of experience and limits. Explain exactly what type of shots you will be taking. “Playboy Style” is not a type of modeling. Be SPECIFIC. Will you need open leg, explicit shots that show her vagina or not? DO NOT PRESSURE A MODEL INTO DOING SOMETHING SHE DOES NOT WANT TO DO. It IS ok to ask a model if she is willing to do something, possibly for more money ONE TIME. If she says “no”, that should be the end of discussion.  However this should be done via email and NOT AT THE SHOOT.  If you pressure a model to change her limits while at a shoot – you are not being professional. Get a hooker.
